IIkal sarees :
From the town of Ilkal in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka state, India, These sarees are woven using cotton warp on the body and art silk warp for border and art silk warp for pallu portion of the saree.
The uniqueness of these traditional sarees lie in the techniques used for joining the body with the pallu warps- Tope Teni.

These sarees come from Udupi also known as the Temple City, Karnataka are the quintessential daily wear especially during the hot summer season. This light weight breezy cotton sarees are currently in the revival process.
